Kushaal (Kush) Desai joined Forbion as an Analyst in 2026.
Prior to joining Forbion, Kush was an Associate at IQ Capital in London, where he focused on deep-tech and biotech investments across research tools, diagnostics, infrastructure and therapeutics. He previously spent two years with IQ Capital as a Research Associate alongside his doctoral studies. During this time, he also co-founded the London chapter of Nucleate, a global biotech accelerator.
Kush completed his PhD at Imperial College London, with his research focused on synthetic biology and host–microbiome interactions. As part of his doctoral work, he was also a Visiting Scholar at Harvard Medical School. He holds an MS in Computational Biology and a BSc in Synthetic Biology, both from Imperial College London.
