Amsterdam, The Netherlands, 16 April 2021 – Forbion, a leading European life sciences venture capital firm, today announces the appointment of Laura Asbjornsen as its Head of Communications.
Laura has extensive experience in public relations and communications, most recently working as a Senior Communications Manager for a Dutch private equity firm, where she spent over two years developing and executing the firm’s internal and external communications strategy. Prior to this, Laura held communications roles at various organisations across the world, including communications agencies, corporate entities, governmental departments and NGOs.
As part of her role with Forbion and its affiliate BGV, Laura will be responsible for developing and executing all internal and external communications for the Group, including media relations, stakeholder engagement, marketing and digital presence.
We are very pleased that Laura has joined our firm to further streamline our external communications, especially as we now operate three distinct investment strategies on our Platform, from BGV covering the European start-up space, to Forbion V focused on venture investments and company creation and Forbion Growth, focused on the venture growth segment as well as cross-over investments.
