Our people

At the end of 2025, Forbion had 57 employees and 21 operating and venture partners affiliated with the firm across its strategies. When compared to the end of 2024, the composition of Forbion’s workforce by gender across different categories remained rather stable. 46% of all employees at the end of 2025 were women.

Forbion has a dedicated, internationally dynamic team with diverse backgrounds. At the end of 2025, there were 15 unique nationalities represented within the team.

Our values and culture

In 2025, Forbion communicated a clear set of values to support its growth, internationalization, and long‑term success, with the explicit aim of making its culture tangible, recognizable, and transferable across the organization. At the core of Forbion’s culture are five key values:

Together, these values present the foundation of Forbion’s organization, team, and culture, intended to guide behavior, decision‑making, and professional development as the firm continues to scale.

Other employee initiatives

Forbion first started working with interns in 2012. The fellowship program that has evolved since then offers a unique opportunity for personal and professional development in a dynamic, ambitious and professional work environment. Fellows learn and work alongside a diverse international team of investors with extensive experience in the Life Sciences. Three fellows enrolled in Forbion’s Fellowship Program during 2025, all female.

In 2024 Forbion’s Responsible Investment Committee established the HR & DEI Working Group, consisting of representatives from various levels and departments with the aim to drive initiatives related to employees. One such initiative, launched in 2024, was the introduction of the employee engagement survey. The survey has been conducted for two consecutive years and its results serve as input in HR-related improvements. Furthermore, Forbion hired its first dedicated HR specialist in 2025. 

Forbion also realizes the importance of the health and well-being of its employees. Employees are encouraged to make use of the on-location gym with a personal trainer in the Naarden office, and encouraged to join social and team building activities which are being organized by Forbion’s Support team on a regular basis.
