Bicycle Therapeutics

CEO Kevin Lee, Ph.D., MBA

Developing bicyclic peptides and Medicines for the treatment of cancers and other debilitating diseases.

Bicycle Therapeutics (BCYC) is a NASDAQ-listed company founded in 2009 in Cambridge, UK, based on the pioneering work of Sir Greg Winter, which won him the Nobel Prize in Chemistry.

The company's core invention is stabilization of peptides into a bicyclic structure, which enables similar selectivity as compared to antibodies, but at a fraction of the size and molecular weight, and therefore very different drug properties. When conjugated to a toxin, Bicycle Therapeutics can be used to deliver a lethal toxin to tumor cells with great precision and fewer side effects than traditional antibody-drug-conjugates (ADCs).

Bicycle Therapeutics is working to create medicines that can deliver practically any payload to any target, thereby minimizing systemic exposure and off-target activity, which we believe will lead to enhanced patient benefit due to potentially longer, deeper and broader responses. Focusing on cancer, we have tested our molecules in more than 500 patients enrolled in our various clinical trials and continue to advance our therapies towards potential approval. Our success in large part is due to the continued support and partnership we receive from Forbion and other shareholders. Together, we are developing next-generation precision-guided therapeutics that have the potential to help patients live longer and live well.
