Dr. Gökben Koca, MD, is a Venture Partner at Forbion with deep expertise in oncology drug development across early discovery through registration and lifecycle management. She currently serves as Chief Medical Officer of a newly established Forbion stealth company, where she is leading the development of next-generation oncology therapeutics.
Previously, Dr. Koca was Chief Medical Officer of Mariana Oncology, a former Forbion portfolio company, where she led translational and early clinical strategy and advanced multiple radioligand therapy programs into the clinic. The company was acquired by Novartis in 2024.
Prior to this, she held senior leadership roles at Bayer AG, most recently as Vice President and Head of Global Clinical Development Radiopharmaceuticals. In this role, she was responsible for global clinical strategy across early- and late-stage oncology programs and contributed to the development and regulatory submissions of multiple oncology therapies, including Vitrakvi®, Nubeqa® and Aliqopa®.
Dr. Koca began her career as a physician-scientist in hematology/oncology at Charité in Berlin. She holds an MD from Charité – Humboldt University and is based in Berlin, Germany.
