Forbion is proud to be a signatory and active member of the EU Life Sciences ESG Knowledge Project, a pioneering initiative supported by Impact House by Grant Thornton. This project unites 22 Life Science investors in developing a coordinated approach to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) within the European Life Sciences investment community.

Coordinated Approach to ESG Data Collection
Launched in 2023, the Knowledge Project was designed to enhance efficiency and consistency in ESG data collection. By aligning on standardized questions and reporting formats, participating investors streamline the data collection process for portfolio companies and enable meaningful benchmarking across the sector.

Forbion’s Silva Dezelan, Head of Impact and ESG, represented the firm and actively contributed to shaping the project, bringing her extensive expertise in advancing sustainability practices in the Life Sciences sector.

As a founding partner, Grant Thornton Impact House facilitated early sessions to shape the foundation of the Knowledge Project. Today, with 22 participating investors, the initiative fosters a growing community of Life Sciences investors committed to:

  • Improving ESG performance
  • Sharing the latest insights on ESG trends in the Life Sciences sector
  • Standardizing ESG data collection to benefit both investors and portfolio companies
