An Michiels is an Advisor to the Forbion BioEconomy Fund. She is a recognized leader in Food and AgTech innovation and strategic business transformation and scaling.
An has held VP and director-level roles at major international agribusiness companies, including Bayer Crop Science, Limagrain, and Syngenta. Throughout her career, she has worked across industry, academia and governmental organisations to develop and implement forward-looking AgTech innovation initiatives, served on boards of organizations such as StartLife, VIB, CGIAR and CropXR.
An grew up on a family-owned Hightech tomato farm in Belgium and has a proven entrepreneurial track record, having successfully founded and served as CEO of KeyGene, Inc. in the United States. In addition, she served as an independent board member, chair and advisor for several food and ag companies such as Wild Bio, Meiogenix, KeyGene, Sejet, Elicit Plant and OlsAro.
