Laura is a senior communications and corporate affairs professional with more than 20 years of international experience across private equity, venture capital, public policy, aviation, non-profit, and corporate sectors.
Based in the Netherlands, Laura has advised boards, executive leadership teams, investors, and policymakers across Europe, North America, and the Caribbean. Her expertise spans strategic communications, reputation management, crisis communications, stakeholder engagement, and organisational change. She has held senior leadership roles in venture capital, private equity, government, aviation, and international policy organisations, helping businesses and institutions navigate growth, transformation, and complex stakeholder environments.
Currently serving as Head of Marketing & Communications at Forbion, Laura works closely with the investment team and portfolio company CEOs to support Forbion's growth, fundraising, corporate positioning, and long-term value creation.
Laura holds an MBA in Energy Management from the University of Twente, an LLM in International Law and International Relations from the University of Kent, and completed undergraduate studies in Physics at the University of the West Indies. She is accredited by the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) and holds specialist certification in Crisis Communications from the U.S. National Transportation Safety Board.
